Happy 80th Birthday Dad A POEM FOR YOU 28th April, 1943 - was the day that you were born; 80 years have passed and you really don't look that worn. Your teeth are your own and you're reasonably fit, Not over the hill yet - or a total old git!! You are in pretty good health and can still pedal a bike; If push came to shove (literally) you could still manage a hike. Your mantra always used to be - 3 score years and 10; Would be the length of your life - that was it then for men. You have exceeded that expectation by 10 whole years, And reached the age of 80, time to celebrate with some beers. Remember to count your blessings and be grateful for your life, Give thanks for your family, including your tolerant wife!! You are blessed with good friends - no need to feel sad; And you are a much loved Grumpsie, husband and Dad. Many happy returns of the day - with many more to come, My prediction - at least 4 score years and 10 before you are done!!
